Introduction to Handgun Safety.
Identify the various types of revolvers and semi pistols; single action, double action, double-single action and striker fired.
Learn how to render each type “safe” and “clear” as well as operating loading gates, ejectors, slide locks, magazine
releases and safeties. Learn how to load and unload. Identify the proper ammunition and learn which kind for
what purpose. Receive Certificate of Completion from NRA Instructor.
This is Part I of Concealed Carry / Marksmanship (below).

Preparedness and Sustainability:
Mentoring, Discussion & Q&A. Topics may include firearms, gardening, solar, food,
water, shelter, medical, radios & communications, community and more.

Handgun Concealed Carry / Marksmanship.
This is Part Two of the "Full Day" Traning listed on the Home Page and guarantees you will qualify as a Marksman.
Our 1st Thursday class (above) is a prerequisite, no exceptions.   Check with Instructor regarding
use of your pistols or ours.  Bring NO ammo; all is provided. Class size limited.
Present your Certificate of Completion to Sheriff’s Department when applying for CCW.
5:45PM.  Three hours; See fee schedule posted above, and deduct the $29 previously paid.

READ: I AGREE to keep ALL guns and ammo (INCLUDING legal concealed carry) out in my vehicle until if/when told by instructor to bring gun(s) inside, with NO ammo. I understand that I may show up early, but NO late arrivals are admitted during class. I SHOULD wear pants with loops, a firm belt, button-up / tucked in shirt, and a baseball-style cap, same as I would be required to wear at a "live-fire" range. I AGREE that this training is an introduction to handgun safety, confidence and proficiency. While the training and certificates may satisfy training requirements for some concealed carry licenses, they are neither advertised nor guaranteed as such. This training neither qualifies nor certifies me to handle, operate, carry or possess a firearm. This training is an augmentation / preparation for live fire training on a range with an NRA instructor. I claim full responsibility for my own actions, personal protection and clothing, training and equipment, both in class and subsequently for any training / practice at home or elsewhere, thereby absolving PistolProf / Russ Spriggs of any actions or culpability. I agree that my fee is valid for a subsequent class if I cannot attend, or if insufficient students register, or due to weather / venue complications, etc. Refund requests are subject to a 20% processing charge. *
